Tour of our Church Building

After today's service Richard Wilson, summer parishioner and architectural history professor at the Univ. of Virginia, gave a presenation on the historical features of our church.

The style is similar to a pattern in a mid-19th centurh style book for "rural church" architecture.

Our wood panelling and the pews are American Chestnut.

We learned a lot about the stained glass windows, which ones are the oldest. All were made by the Connick Studios, but at different periods.

The studio signature can be seen on some of them.

Thanks to Richard for a most informative session!
