Palm Sunday

Palm Sunday at St. Stephen's.

Some members of the parish dressed as Israelites for our Procession of the Palms.

Fr. Curtis reads the Liturgy of the Palms.

The procession winds its way from the Undercroft...

...up the walkway...

...to the church.

The liturgical color for the Passion is red.

Our choir sang three beautiful anthems.

After the service we had Parish Family Sunday and coffee hour with the usual delicious food.

The Rev. Canon Charles LaFond on Monastic Life

Our visitor today was one of the Bishop's canons, who presided at the Eucharist and preached.

After the service Canon LaFond participated in our Lenten book study. We are reading Monk Habits for Everyday People, about implementing monastic life rule into our daily lives. And our visitor was a monk who lived in a monastery for three years, and from him we gained all sorts of insights into the real life and habits and spirituality of monks.
